AP Choudhary is a seasoned executive with over 38 years of both, operational and management experience within the steel industry.  During his long career in Indian and international steel companies, AP Choudhary was responsible for a variety of functions including operations across the entire steel making process, investment projects, plant restructurings, marketing, finance, commercial and strategic management as well as policy development.
 
AP Choudhary was the principal advisor to National Mineral Development Corporation in Hyderabad after retiring in 2013 from the position of the chairman and CEO of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam, a Navratna Group Company where he led and completed a significant capacity expansion project.
 
Prior to his tenure at Rashhtriya Ispat, AP Choudhary was an executive director responsible for managing key portfolios for the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). He has been actively associated with SAIL's substantial modernisation and expansion plan resulting in almost doubling its production capacity.

AP Choudhary held other senior positions including the positions of chairman of the Bird Group of Companies, chairman of the board of Eastern Investments chairman of board for Orissa Minerals Development Company. AP Choudhary holds a post graduate degree in mechanical engineering with specification in machine design and analysis from Regional Engineering College.
